Top Picks for End-of-the-Year Films

2015 is coming to a close, and a lot of big movies are set to come out. These are the films that we have had our eyes on!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (November 20th, 2015)

The world renown “Hunger Games” saga comes to a close in “Mockingjay Part 2.” In the film Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is the reluctant symbol of the rebellion in Panem. “Mockingjay Part 2″ also features Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and Elizabeth Banks.This film is highly anticipated by “Hunger Games” fans around the world and is expected to be big in the Box Office.

Legend (November 20th, 2015)

In this crime thriller based on a true story, Tom Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road,The Dark Knight Rises) plays identical twin gangsters Reggie and Ronnie Cray, who are credited with being some of the most notorious criminals in British history. “Legend” also features Taron Egerton, who made a big splash in the film industry as Eggsy Unwin in last year’s surprise hit “Kingsman: The Secret Service.” Fans of classic crime films such as “Goodfellas” will be ecstatic to see this movie.

Victor Frankenstein (November 25th, 2015)

This retelling of the classic Mary Shelley novel is from the perspective of Igor (Daniel Radcliffe), who is the protege of the infamous Dr. Frankenstein (James McAvoy). The plot centers around the duo’s quest to uncover human immortality. But when their experiments have horrifying consequences, it’s up to the two to stop the monsters they created.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (December 18th, 2015)

The next chapter in the most iconic film saga of all time is set to come out this December. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will take place 35 years after the events of “Return of the Jedi” and will feature a new conflict between a revival of the Empire, called the First Order, and the Resistance. The film will also present a brand new set of stars. The latest characters in the series are Finn, a runaway Stormtrooper (John Boyega), Rey, a scavenger (Daisy Ridley), Kylo-Ren, the mysterious villain who shows an obsession with Darth Vader (Adam Driver), Poe Dameron, the Resistance’s ace pilot (Oscar Isaac), General Hux, the merciless leader of the First Order (Domhnall Gleeson), Captain Phasma, the ruthless Stormtrooper (Gwendoline Christie), and the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis), who no has had no information revealed about him. The film will also have the returning characters of Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew). This film is projected to be hugely successful. Fans of all ages will flock to the theatres to see this film!

The Revenant (December 25th, 2015)

Academy Award-Winner Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (“Birdman”) is releasing his new film starring Leonardo DiCaprio (“Inception,” “The Great Gatsby”) and Tom Hardy (“Mad Max: Fury Road,” “The Dark Knight Rises”). The film is called “The Revenant” and it is about Hugh Glass (Dicaprio) who is a frontiersman in the 1820s that is left for dead in the forest by his hunting party. The film also features “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star Domhnall Gleeson. If you like any movie with DiCaprio I recommend this movie.
